Sea Magic Dance Cruise – Getaway (8/27/26)
We have returned from another fun Sea Magic Dance Cruise. We had a fabulously fun group, enjoyed wonderful meals, and did lots of dancing!
36th Annual Memorial, Tribute and Remembrance Dance (6/14/26)
Many thanks to everyone who joined us last Sunday evening for this special event. This year, we were delighted to bring back the live music component that was such a cherished part of the Sunday dances “back in the day”. Paul Steward did an outstanding job performing for us, while our DJs kept the dance floor moving during the breaks.
The evening also featured several wonderful highlights, including a lovely West Coast Swing performance by Stephen Ward and May Serrano, our fun Generational Mixer, and a delicious assortment of potluck treats for everyone to enjoy.
This dance holds a special place in my heart as we remember and pay tribute to those who helped keep the West Coast Swing flame burning brightly, ensuring that future generations could discover and enjoy this wonderful dance.

Our 2nd Sunday Dance at alternate location in Union City (4/12/26)
We had a great time and turnout at our monthly dance in the alternate Union City venue and in the afternoon. Thank you to all that came out for this dance which we had to move due to our regular San Mateo venue being unavailable. We received many positive comments on the venue and the afternoon time so we may explore holding a future dance or two at this location.
Swing Joins Country Event (3/8/26)
Our 34th year of Swing Joins Country was another amazing event with great energy and a whole lot of fun! Instructors Craig Johnson & Joan Lundahl, Michelle Kinkaid, and Kat Painter gave everyone fun and useful material to add to their dance repetoire. The dance party was filled with fun mixers of WCS and Country 2-Step, Cowboy Cha Cha, Kat’s review of the Contraband Line dance in partner format and a great mix of dance music by our DJs (Craig, Jaime, Ken & Michelle). Many thanks to all who attended and our amazing SJC Team.

Our South America & Antarctica Sea Magic Dance Cruise (1/25/26)
This cruise was truly one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever had. From the breathtaking natural wonder of Iguazu Falls to the awe-inspiring beauty of the continent of Antarctica, every moment was unforgettable. The wildlife encounters — penguins, whales, sea lions, dolphins, and countless birds — made the journey even more extraordinary, as did crossing the legendary Drake Passage. And of course, adding a little dancing into the mix made it all the more special. It was an adventure we will cherish forever.
